CGC Adeniyi Commissions Apapa Analytics Centre to Boost Data-Driven Customs Operations

Victoria Silvanus The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, has commissioned the Bashir Adewale Adeniyi Analytics Centre for Excellence at the Apapa Area Command as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen data-driven operations and modernise customs administration. The commissioning ceremony took place on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, at the Nigeria Customs Service Apapa Area Command. Speaking at the event, Adeniyi emphasised the critical role of credible data in global trade and customs administration. According to him, modern customs operations must rely on accurate data to support effective risk management and operational efficiency. NURTW Lagos Chairman Mustapha Adekunle Sego Launches ₦500,000 Scholarship Scheme for Drivers’ Children in Universities

 Victoria Silvanus The Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has launched a new scholarship initiative to support the children of commercial drivers currently studying in universities. The programme was introduced by the Lagos State NURTW Chairman, Mustapha Adekunle Sego, as part of efforts to strengthen welfare support for union members across the state. ₦500,000 Scholarship for Each Beneficiary Under the initiative, each selected beneficiary will receive ₦500,000 to assist with their university education. Speaking during the announcement, Sego highlighted the important role commercial drivers play in the daily movement of people and goods across Lagos.
