Speaking during a press briefing at the Seme Border in Badagry, Lagos State, on Tuesday, the Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Abdullahi Shuaibu Kaila, said the seizures were a testament to the Command's commitment to protecting Nigeria's economy, public health and national security. Victoria Silvanus The Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘A’, Ikeja, Lagos, of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has intercepted 220 consignments of prohibited and smuggled goods with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N3.24 billion and recovered N728.98 million in revenue through intensified enforcement operations and compliance checks. Victoria Silvanus The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Area Command, has intercepted Cannabis Indica valued at ₦26.57 billion concealed in a container carrying imported vehicles at the Lagos Port. The seizure, which weighed 4,143.5 kilograms, was made during a joint examination conducted by officers of the Apapa Command and personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
